The dead walk among us
My mother joined me on my walk this evening
I wandered past a place we’d been and she joined me
We laughed a while and I missed her
As I read my daughter some AA Milne
My father did the voices
He was good at the voices
They just pop in…

That’s lovely. I lost my parents just over a year ago, and miss them every day. It’s amazing how they will suddenly pop into my thoughts or words.
Thanks Ruth. There is a lot of truth to the sentiment that people are closer to us in death. Somedays I feel like Bruce Willis in the Sixth Sense 🙂
