Always waiting for someone

I never knew how patient my mother was until I sat for hours waiting for my teenager daughter to return from her parties or other social engagements.
Time goes slowly in the small hours when one is waiting.
Having my children all safe in my home is the aim.
And getting to bed myself would be nice.
